IMERGE, located on St. Santa Catarina 777, focused its interest in the area of insertion and, under this careful observation, drew its subject of study, gave the priority of the organization, formalizing the project REGENLAB.
With an important tradition of projection and reception of ideas in international networks, reflected in exchanges, artist residences and integration of young European volunteers, IMERGE opens the project of the multidisciplinary study for those who come from different European ways and could add to Regenlab the elasticity of disciplinary approaches, enriching it dialectically with new eyes.
Being evidently in a “weak” part of St. Santa Catarina, this section of street, the subject of study, breaks with the nobility of the laser walking area and presents the social and cultural consequences that are inherent to divided space.
Visions of architecture, urban design, sociology, urban animation and art will be mapping systematically the area, realizing their problems, to draw, finally, small accesses to the now renewed community.
